Coffee Co. Anti-Drug Coalition Partners with Community to Feed Children During Pandemic

It's been interesting times as we all work through this pandemic. The Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition had a wonderful opportunity to help out an effort in our community and see in very tangible form what "coalition work" looks like: community partners working together to address needs in our community.

We did not organize this effort but were blessed to have the opportunity to join in. 120 meals were delivered to students who were once receiving food bags while school was in session from the local 5 Loaves for Kids program. We often forget that for many children in our communities, the food provided in our schools is their most consistent source of nutrition. When schools are not meeting, other efforts need to happen to provide meals to these children. For this effort, the following local organizations pitched in: We Are Tullahoma, United Way of Highway 55, Tullahoma City Schools, First Christian Church, Coffee County Anti-Drug Coalition, and National Aerospace Solutions.

We don't always have to organize something. Looking for opportunities to step in and help other organizations is Coalition work at its very best!
