My wife recently organized the medicine cabinet in our home and disposed of expired medication. She took the unwanted prescriptions to a drop-off box at the local Walgreens. Because I recently had hip replacement surgery there are still strong prescription medication in our household.

I've decided to do my part by locking the medication up and keep it in a safer location. I also plan on counting my medication regularly then disposing of it in a prescription take back box when the time comes.

We have young grandchildren who frequently visit the house. Participating in "Count It, Lock It, Drop It" is easy and helps me keep track of my medications.
