First Responders in Moore Co. Receive Overdose Reversal and Harm Reduction Training

On Jan 19, 2021 Resource Engagement Specialist Team REST, member Josh Crews trained 17 members of Moore County Fire and Rescue and Moore Co EMS. The training is specially designed for First Responders and includes the opioid epidemic, naloxone administration, harm reduction strategies, compassion fatigue and burnout.

The REST team is a specialized group of Regional Overdose Prevention Specialists, ROPS, that work in the south central part of the state. They are funded through the TN Department of Mental health and Substance Abuses Service office to train first responders on the opioid epidemic.
