Be Aware Blount partners with the Blount County Sheriff's Office and the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force twice annually to hold Drug Take Back. The Fall Drug Take Back took place on Saturday, October 29, from 10am to 2pm at the Blount County Justice Center. Leading up to the big day, it was advertised through a local commercial, as well as flyers at pharmacies throughout the community.

This year, the coalition counted 174 vehicles! During that 4 hour window, 18 barrels were filled, measuring 618.75 lbs. Together with the 22 barrels (577 lbs) that had been collected through the drop-off site within the Blount County Jail, Blount County filled a total of 40 barrels, measuring 1,195.75 lbs.
