Becky Haas, Trauma-Informed Administrator & Corey Paulson, Community Engagement Specialist from Ballad Health presented information at the Elizabethton City Schools faculty in-service about Trauma-Informed Care.

Becky & Corey provided information about interventions and methods that can help reduce the impact of childhood trauma. Becky defined the ways trauma can affect the brain. Corey discussed addressing ACE's (Adverse Childhood Experiences) scores. Becky ended with the next steps to be a trauma-responsive classroom. Both presented great information to faculty about addressing trauma in their classroom.
