The Suicide Prevention and the African American Faith Communities Coalition (SPAAFCC) presents the “Suicide and Trauma Prevention: Building Resiliency in our Community” 2019 Conference sponsored by MPHD, TSPN, TAADAS, TDMHSAS, and NAMI Davidson Co.
The Suicide Prevention and the African American Faith Communities Coalition (SPAAFCC) believes that ‘‘Hope Breaks The Silence”, and we encourage you to join us as we destigmatize suicide in communities of faith. The conference will be composed of numerous breakout sessions, captivating speakers, vendors and community partners focusing on trauma as it relates to mental health, youth, addiction, interactive learning sessions, testimonies, local resources, practical tools to help prevent suicide in faith communities, self-care, and more.
The Suicide Prevention and the African American Faith Community Coalition (SPAAFCC) works to change the narrative around suicide by empowering trauma-informed black churches. The group is comprised of local pastors, faith leaders, community members and community organizations throughout Nashville, TN.
