Bringing together the Faith Community to learn and be challenged to:
Recognize the marvelous complex being that God has created-in his image.
Understand how the evil of addiction affects the Body, Mind, and Soul of the individuals.
Inspire compassion for those trapped in this Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Condition.
Learn how we can be effective ministers; Loving and responding to the whole person which God has created and sent to us for His purpose- “that none should perish”
The First Upper Cumberland Addiction Summit will address the faith communities approach to the epidemic of drug addiction in the Upper Cumberland Region. Members of the faith community and community alike are encouraged to attend. Attendees will receive information about resources available in the community as well as leave with a better understanding of the Addicted Brain, Childhood Trauma, Project Lifeline, Tennessee Faith-Based Initiatives, and Recovery Program startup. The summit will be the first of many events planned in the Upper Cumberland Region to address the epidemic and mobilize the community in taking action.
